On 2.6.32-14-generic kernel that I currently have installed, the webcam
works fine -- I can still check older upstream kernels if it will help
to make a better release, or to find an unfixed regression in the
upstream kernel. Please let me know whether I should go ahead and check

The user that logs into the machine first has no issues playing sounds.
However, when using fast user switch, any user that logs in after that
cannot access the sound hardware.
Gnome volume control shows null output in the output tab. Sound

I ran:
stress --cpu 16 --vm 2 --vm-bytes 128M
and the machine cut off after about two minutes.
This was on the mainline linux kernel:
