Lauch Firefox 2. CPU usage rises to 80-90% 3. The ~/.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log grows in size very fastly, consuming large amounts of disk space. 4. The log file is spammed with the message "Error: WaylandMessage::Write() too many files to send : " Actual results: This only happens whenever I start firefox on sway (wayland), regardless of whether I reload swaywm using mod+shift+c. CPU usage stays at 80-90% and the log file starts to consume disk space. At the time I noticed it, the log file was ~140GB with all of the lines being "Error: WaylandMessage::Write() too many files to send : " Expected results: CPU usage should be normal. Log files shouldn't consume large amount of space in a very short period of time. Presently there's only 3 options (or at least that's what I see): 1) Use a static away message 2) Use "last status message" (almost as static as 1) 3) Don't use auto away, set status manually or ignore the status. What I'd like is to have the auto away to have a third behaviour: Change status to "away", but keep the current status message. And when the "auto-back" is checked (the "become avail..." check box) the status message is kept, only the status returnes to "online" (or maybe better yet to the previous status before the auto away). example scenario where this is desired: status is "I'm home", now I'm online, then I go to the kitchen to make some coffee, etc. Time passes, auto away kicks in. I'm still home so my status message is still what I want, but as I'm not at the computer I want to have 'away' status untill I return to the computer, when it should turn to 'online' automagically. Also, what I'd like is the "good old way" to change status _and_ the staus message at the same time directly via the status menu (but perhaps that's another whish-bug) Reply at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdenetwork- kde4/+bug/199646/comments/5 On 2008-09-16T22:35:31+00:00 scientica wrote: Created attachment 27444 A "mockup" of how the config could look hmm... a quick look at the .ui file in qt designed revealed that it apparently is possible to easily make that entire option checkable. I have no idea how much coding it'd be behind the scenes (I have no familiarity with the kopete code) to actually make it work though. I had an audio CD in the drive. While exploring it I noticed that it had folders containing FLACs, OGGs, etc. (which is a real gem of a feature by the way!). I started copying over the FLACs to my hard drive but the CD must have been damaged. It repeatedly failed on one of the tracks with that dialog showing up. For example, an OPF file (which is part of many digital books) is an XML file, but is often encoded as text/plain. I want to open it with kxmleditor (always), so I right click, "open with", and choose ~"always do this" so that any time I click on an OPF again it opens in kxmleditor. This is fine, but now all of a sudden ALL text/plain files open in kxmleditor (even foo.txt, etc). This is clearly wrong, and counterintuitive. Even if the mime type *is* correct, there are different kinds of XML (for example) that I might want to open in different applications. I think the strategy should be that "open with" looks to see if it has a mapping for the file type *first*, and then only secondly at the mime type. Additionally, when you click "always do this", there should be a dialog that says: Which of the following should always be opened with _kxmleditor_: [ ] all text files [X] all .opf files [Save] [Cancel] Reply at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/139346/comments/1 On 2008-11-27T13:57:03+00:00 David Faure wrote: Yes, we should dynamically create a mimetype if the current extension isn't known.
