I have an Intel 82801H sound card on a brand new Dell Studio 1535.
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 04)
Only the PCM affect the volume, so i can't control the volum with the dedicated
button.
I'm on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.

My D-Link DWL-G122 is really slow in 11.04. Revert to 10.10 solved my problem.
Use ndiswrapper driver works also as workaround but then my system freeze.

manually edit
~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc
and add:
