I'm encountering this same issue with the 10.10 Alternate installer
(amd64). In my case, I'm trying to install to existing encrypted lvms
on an existing RAID5. The installer can't seem to handle the RAID
either ( I have to assemble myself from the shell). It also fails to
unlock ( I have to do
I was running into this same issue with the 10.10 Alternate using a 2GB
Flash Voyager on my Dell Studio XPS. However, it works fine using my 16
GB Patriot XT. Both were created using the Setup Disk Creator v
0.2.22.1 on Ubuntu 10.04.
One difference I noticed is that the Flash Voyager drive
I'm having the same problem with MSN and Facebook (gmail, yahoo, and
another xmpp account are all working fine)..and it also seemed to start
soon after upgrading to 10.4. So far, I've tried completely removing
empathy and reinstalling it.
I see this in the mission-control debug logs when trying

The $killall telepathy-butterfly trick works for me as well. Thanks for

As an asideI installed the PPA versions of empathy, telepathy, et.
al. on my laptop, and my MSN account would connect fine, but my Facebook
account failed (vs. Facebook working and MSN failing in the
me too..

Thanks Brain. I tried that, and it fixed my Facebook account after I
also reinstalled the Ubuntu version of all the telepathy extensions as
well (butterfly, gabble, haze, etc.). However, the MSN account still
won't connect. I checked the logs, and I'm seeing the same messages I
saw in the PPA
