[Bug 704284] Re: unacceptable mplayer performance on hd playback in natty
In theory, I could live with a diagnosis of incomplete but not invalid. What sort of logs are you looking for? The performance data is that video playback with mplayer on HD videos is unacceptable. I don't know how to count dropped frames, but I can tell you that playback is visibly, noticeably jerky and it wasn't this way under maverick. In my opinion, It would be a shame if natty shipped without addressing this performance regression. I can say that performance does seem to have improved slightly with recent xorg updates, but there are still noticeable, frequent jitters that didn't exist under maverick. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/704284 Title: unacceptable mplayer performance on hd playback in natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1768906] Re: Xorg crash
I'm not exactly clear what you mean by purging and settings removal. I've run uninstall with the proprietary driver (and rebooted) I've used nvidia-driver-396 and apt-cache remove --purge'd that. I've tried to video cards now. In short, I've tried everything I can think of, but still end up with the same problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768906 Title: Xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1768906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
