The problem is that HAL can't find the parent device from the DEVPATH

This is caused by stale entries in /media/.hal-mtab confusing
/usr/lib/hal/hal-storage-unmount. It calls umount(8) with the device
name, but when it tries to remove the directory it uses the directory

Occasionally X hangs completely, not even SAK will kill it, however SAK
followed by ctrl-alt-del successfully switches to the shutdown splash.
When this happens, the following shows up in dmesg:

The readline version information was not updated with the 6.1 release. This
breaks packages checking rl_library_version vs.
rl_readline_version, such as the test suite of the Term::ReadLine::Gnu perl
module.
