Terminal transparency is not directly a driver feature. It's implemented
in the app and the compositor via OpenGL. And if OpenGL or the driver
was broken in this area then a lot more than Terminal transparency would

I've been trying for a couple of hours and can't find a way to reproduce
this in 24.04 with any commonly available Ubuntu software. So instead of
having a fixed test case we will need people here to verify the fix with
their own apps, when a fix becomes available...

We could MIR libdisplay-info, it seems to have practically no
dependencies. But on the other hand, the amount of code in Mutter that
actually depends on "HAVE_LIBDISPLAY_INFO" is quite small. It could be
replicated inline within Mutter, though I doubt upstream would want to.

Seems pretty certain to be X. There is no wayland-session tag and the
Nvidia driver is present.

The fix looks complex so I'm not suggesting it should get rushed into
24.04 in a hurry. Just nice to have. It would also make sense to wait
