This is not a bug. Basically, you're confusing throttling states (t-states)
with performance states (p-states). Don't feel bad; the names are a little
confusing (because changing t-states doesn't change the clock speed).
See this for more detail:
This issue still occurs in linux-source-2.6.28-4.11 kernels (jaunty)
Thanks for the workaround, fishor. I was trying all sorts of crazy things like

The bug that RichB originally reported seems to be fixed. As for the

My suggestion would be to try the native 64-bit Flash plugin.
Also, I see the canberra error (and sometimes similar libgio libgvfs
errors) all the time on ubuntuforums. I don't think they cause the
nspluginwrapper crash, but if you want to test it, you could use
something like getlibs (
I cannot reproduce this error (I'm also using amd64 and epiphany-webkit

If you've converted to OSS4, you need to be sure to install phonon-gstreamer
and prefer it in the KDE system settings (or with the 'qtconfig' command)
In Kubuntu, use the 'gstreamer-properties' command to select the desired
gstreamer backend.

If Mozilla insists on being litigious, now would be a good time to take
a cue from Debian and adopt Iceweasel/Icedove as Ubuntu's default
browser e-mail (having Swiftweasel/Swiftdove in the universe repo
would be nice too). This seems the most pragmatic thing to do.

Try to remove the intel modules and restart X (by logging out) and see if it

I'm not a developer, but it's not immediately clear to me what error
you're reporting. Did you try to apt-get install gtk-gnutella and not
receive the packages? If so, reporting against apt-get and/or posting a
dpkg log would probably be helpful if you continue to experience issues.
