I have only one monitor normally attached
(an IBM 2237).
I have booted with it initially attached to
one card, and another boot attached to the other card.
In both the end result is the same
(I just cannot observe behaviour without monitor attached)

This did not work for me:Try removing /etc/rc2.d/S20speech-dispatcher
then run sudo apt-get -f install
I still get :
