libreoffice-java-common solves the problem, but THIS DOES NOT CLOSE THIS
BUG, because a silent failure is not OK: the menu items should at least
be greyed out if they are not available.

Confirmed: As per the GIMP man page, GIMP 2.6.7 (as shipped with Karmic)
defaults to opening in an already running GIMP (the behaviour previously
selected by running gimp-remote) unless the argument --new-instance
is passed.

When I run the "System Load Monitor" under xfce4, the XOrg process
starts using about 60% of a CPU. When I remove the System Load Monitor
from the panel, this stops. This is repeatable: whenever I start the
applet, the high CPU usage returns.
