Currently the minimum fan speed is set to be 2000rpm in the applesmc
kernel module. This speed doesn't appear to change, and my CPU has
reached temperatures over 60c whilst this was the case. I think that

Seems like that latest upstream activity for this package was around
2005, and the last release in ubuntu from upstream was early 2007. Would
it be best to get the patch applied in debian, then sync it over, or
just apply the patch here?

It seems that restarting resolves the problem. However, adding a new
