ACPI. If I edit the boot line with ACPI=OFF and NOAPIC, everythings OK!
(Sound, 3D, Internet[not iwifi]) Excluding ACPI's features, the

I mistook the meta-gnome2 package for something it is not, rerouting.
I am led to believe gnome-media is the appropriate package.
