I am seeing these symptoms also on an old Dell Inspiron laptop, which has no 3D
acceleration. A good example was when copying the Kubuntu gutsy RC CD image to
another system over the network (using fish:// KIO slave). During this the
mouse periodically stopped responding for a couple of seconds

Installed the package shipped with Intrepid -
kaffeine_0.8.6-2ubuntu2_i386.deb onto my Jaunty system. This also showed
the problem, suggesting that the cause lies in one of the libraries. Any

I have what sounds like the same problem. I am using keyboard layout
USA, with option for Adding Esperanto circumflexes to the qwerty
keyboard, and key to choose 3rd level: Left Win and Right Alt.

Sorry, I probably should've tried the latest version first. I've
attached a few of the themes I used - the MacOSX one is the icon-only
theme, Aero has a full GNOME theme with widgets and window borders,
and all the others are widget-only themes. I got all of these from
websites like
(I'm really sorry for all the trouble, but the icon theme is too big to
attach and I couldn't find where I had downloaded it to post a link)

I've been having similar problems after an upgrade, specifically no
wired connections can be managed in nm-configuration-editor.
I found that by removing old (stale) config information
from /etc/network/interfaces and rebooting nm-configuration-editor
seemed to work normally.

I was towards the end of installing UBUNTU with Windows 7 when the
installer crashed. It said there was only about 3 minutes to go.

Same crash occurs if I open, minimise and close 2 windows of gedit.
If I do not minimise the two terminal windows the crash does not occur.
If I minimise only one of the two terminal windows, the crash

Same crash occurs if I open 2 windows of chromium, minimise them, then
select quit.
I'm pretty sure my bug is not the same as the one above since mine is
easily reproducible, and that one is not.

my system locks up while using Chromium-browser. Seems to be most often
