whenever i try install/remove a package

Nonetheless, I have to do it every time I turn on the computer.

I found the following: if I install camorama, cheese (automatically)

I installed subversion from berlios.de and changed Makefile. I rebooted. I got
an output in cheese as I changed resolution (176x144). However, if I try to
take a picture, screen goes white and system crashes.
I forgot to mention that camorama doesn't work on my laptop (Dell 1525n,

On hardy heron I had a similar problem: there was no sound after upgrading
modules, but in that case the system didn't recognise the soundcard. I found

This did not resolve my issue. A simple test I've discovered is to go to
http://www.musicovery.com. Without fail, as this website loads my system
reboots, even with the proposed solutions listed above.

When I try to open a raw file on Darkroom, wheter an individual photo or a
folder, no image is displayed. Something happens for sure, because the terminal
reports a lot of activity. However, there is nothing to modify.
I'm using Jaunty/KDE, everything updated. Raw files
I closed Firefox, and re opened it. It didn't worked.
After rebooting the computer, it works perfectly.
Installing new packages, launching Firefox, and restarting Firefox has
been enough for me.

I think it is not associated to Banshee. I experience the same bug on
Oneiric, but I uninstalled Banshee and use instead Clementine. As I
press a multimedia key (not volume), there shows a prohibition sign (see

When I try see a video in the firefox the plugin swfdec do not work, it
stay blinking and with a black band in the midle screen, and the video

I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04
I'm using /dev/md0 (xfs) which I believe is the issue (mdadm). It was working
fine before the upgrade.
Now when I try to boot, right after grub the screen locks up/freezes so much
that even the caps lock light no longer

Turns out it was this bug, not easy to detect!
Comment out the usb line in /etc/fstab and all is well again. Anyone with
Virtualbox with USB that upgrades to 10.04 may have this error where their
machine will freeze with mountall on boot.

I have the same problem... Iḿ running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and I trying to
deal with this problem since 8.10! I've tried all the possible
solutions, but the results are the same! Maybe the bug is in another
package!!!
