I fiddled with the title -- as it was, it seemed to imply the window not
having focus from the window manager. The problem, as you say is that
the file name field is highlighted, looks like it has the keyboard

xorg.conf), but it appears to be switched on in those builds:

will be needed. The best way to get that is to run
ubuntu-bug xorg
