[Bug 1882402] Re: Ubuntu-drivers allows installation of (nvidia-340) drivers, which are broken/break things (Kubuntu 20.04)
Re: updated logs - I did a fresh Kubuntu 20.04 install to USB stick (NOTE: 'Download Updates' and 'Install Third Party Drivers' selected via installer), rebooted, and was greeted by black screen, as per original bug issue. The Nvidia drivers were again installed that have issues. So possibly buggy/incomplete nvidia drivers, but ubuntu-drivers was still 'aware' of issues: " root@xxxubuntu-drivers list ERROR:root:No "nvidia-dkms-340" can be found. nvidia-340 " I also did "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" which upgraded a lot of things, but reboot has no change to black screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1882402 Title: Ubuntu-drivers allows installation of (nvidia-340) drivers, which are broken/break things (Kubuntu 20.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-drivers-common/+bug/1882402/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1881829] Re: Kubuntu 20.04 installed unable to install previously installed apps
Importance - Undecided ==> Very Low Reasoning: Install appears fairly stable (some ongoing Ryzen 3 2200G (Raven) integrated GPU issues, but this is ongoing). Happy to close bug. Possible future improvements: 1) List the programs that were unable to be reinstalled, so user can do it manually. 2) Provide positive confirmation that rest of install successfully completed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1881829 Title: Kubuntu 20.04 installed unable to install previously installed apps To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1881829/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
