I finally figured out how the input hotplug stuff works. So I disabled it (AutoAddDevices false) and tried the old mouse driver. No difference. So I'm pretty sure this is not a bug in evdev or mouse, as both drivers display the bug. So everything points now to the kernel. I'll try an older
