Maximize a nautilus window then quit. When you relaunch, it open
maximized, which is fine because you can restore the window to it's
unmaximized size. However it restores to the correct unmaximized height
but the MAXIMIZED width. You can also duplicate this by right clicking

I have not noticed the problem recently. It seems to be very much
improved and I have burned many DVD images from iso recently. There is
still a problem with Ubuntu and handling permissions of the DVD drive
mount when more than one person is logged in at the same time but I
don't think that has
I have two Lenovo Y550 machines, one with Intel graphics and the other
with nvidia graphics. The function key brightness works find for the
nvidia graphics both with the open source and restricted drivers. The
intel card does not work.
Furthmore, there is no folder

2.6.32-24-generic-pae kernel update reintroduced the popping noise when
muting and unmuting and adjusting volume levels to the top or bottom
level of volume using the function keys. This sound was corrected a long
time ago and is not present in 2.6.32-23-generic-pae.

I installed an update to 2.6.32-24-generic-pae this morning and the
audio popping is once again gone.

I spoke too soon. Upon rebooting, I plugged my headphones in and hit the
mute button to unmute and there was a very very loud pop. It's not fixed.
I'm currently using 23 to avoid this until fixed.

USB drives and partitions on my USB hard drives show up in nautilus and

FYI I cannot repeat this with the above re-creation instructions but
gnome-shell is reseting VERY frequently (2 - 3 times per hour) with the
same error. I'm not exactly sure what triggers it but it crashed while I
was typing in this text field to submit this bug.
