Hello Serge, I agree that there is probably some missing feature in the guest kernel. However, I don't believe it is acceptable for the hyper-visor kernel to be affected from this. I've just tested again the newest installer image from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/pending/trusty-server-amd64.iso And it still does not detects mlx4 NICs automatically.
