I've noticed that the same thing happens when using Xubuntu (XFCE),
which suggests that it's nothing to do with Unity but has something to
do with the underlying layers in the window system. Since X is a
networked window system, you may expect something like this to happen,

I've moved the xorg.conf file out of the way, and it is now using the

First, you can't create a single interface for mobile devices and desktops and

I am also experiencing this. In addition, I determined that it does not
matter whether the first disc has previously been inserted. The

This is a nasty bug, since Firefox just fails without any error message
after upgrading to version 22. I was affected myself and it took a while
to diagnose. One thing puzzles me: why does google.com still work when a
broken manual proxy is configured?

I'm glad I found this bug report. My xscreensaver has been doing the
same thing. I changed the group on /etc/shadow from 'root' to 'shadow'
and it resolved the issue.

again the rendering is screwed. It seems that every ubuntu base update
is changing my set up so that direct rendering becomes broken and I have
to reinstall the catalyst video driver and run an initial aticonfig

when I treid to run Unity from a terminal window. Running find
