I've reopened this and assigned it to the nv driver. Whilst it was fixed
in the proprietary nvidia driver, the bug makes nv use with the card
almost impossible.

Just though I'd add that this is an 'issue' during BIOS bootup, GRUB,
etc (and in Windows XP until it has loaded the driver). So I suspect
this is really a hardware issue, but it would be great if we could work
around it!

up the size on Windows (would make it too big) - see the attachments on
the upstream bug report. Just thinking about it, perhaps this is a
wxwidgets interface problem?

In Ubuntu Intrepid, the configure script asks only one question. This
one if left out. Even if it was displayed the fix should have been
synced from Debian in the Intrepid version.
