Then you should file the Bug for Amarok itself on http://bugs.kde.org
Anyway, this issue will be addressed by the Amarok project in the
upcoming Amarok 2 series, so I will close this report because we can't

** Changed in: amarok (Ubuntu)
This bug will become invalid with the release of Amarok 2, and since Amarok 1
is on low-development mode it's unlikely the error coping will improve in
Amarok 1 - also IMO OSS should be removed completely from xine on Ubuntu.
Anyway, closing as invalid, I hope you're ok with this :)

Well, it's a broken file, that is all to be said.
Amarok 2 will probably get an improved and more stable collectionscanner, can't

Well, I am part of this upstream. There is no bug report, because it

This is super strange. The bug is apparently not related to some
mimetype issue (you could however try whether it works with a different
user). Also, since Konqueror doesn't support prefetching, it can't be
related to the linked tar.gz. Anyone has any idea whatelse could cause
this behaviour?

Very logical, there is no support for 'real' multi-sessioning, so KDE
will just invoke another KDM session on a different display. KDE 4
probably expects KDM 4 to be running for that, but then again, since KDM

make it work
