[Bug 1705626] Re: Use GNOME Software for system upgrades

2021-02-24 Thread Hatsune
[Important]
This must be able to perform as two separate tasks (not together); UI
enhancement in update section may help to address that and classic terminal
ways, software updater should remain as it

[Bug 1914230] Re: [High priority] Screen keyboard doesn't display other languages characters, only english

2021-02-02 Thread Hatsune
@vanvugt "Please choose a specific language for this bug to be about."
Tamil, Thai, Sinhala(Sinhalese), Korean, Chinese, Japanese etc.

Steps to reproduce
1. Add these languages (may not need to apply system wide)
2. Switch to eg: Japanese
3. Tap(touch) on text field then screen keyboard will be appear automatically
(Or force open screen keyboard manually)
4. You will see that, it still appear in english

(This also applicable to english characters based languages similar
Spanish. just doesn't appear its unique screen keyboard)

[Bug 1914225] [NEW] Emoji button and pack for screen keyboard

2021-02-02 Thread Hatsune
Public bug reported:

This enhancement requests for ubuntu default screen keyboard (compared
to windows 10 touch keyboard, not on screen keyboard)

I aware that ubuntu offer "insert emoji" feature but it's not usable everywhere
and keyboard shortcut method also the same.
https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2018/06/use-emoji-linux-ubuntu-apps
Furthermore, both methods cant use as force input to any text field or any
limited environment as if it has built-in on screen keyboard

I noticed there're few keyboard types but its annoying to use with every
languages. (because such keyboards are one type and our common language
keyboards are another so always has to switch)

[Bug 1899909] [NEW] [gdm3] Screen keyboard doesn't work after session locked

2020-10-15 Thread hatsune
Public bug reported:

Below explain further details and reproduce instruction to recognize the
issue

Ubuntu all in one touch screen device with 2 user accounts (eg: root and
non-root)

[1] Boot the device
[2] Ubuntu loads to main login screen (the screen that display all user
accounts) then tap on any user account and it brings to next screen to enter
the password. Screen keyboard automatically appear then you can enter password
and tap enter to login.

[3] Lock the session
[4] It brings to locked screen that display time
[4] Tap on screen once, then brings to existing logged account login screen
(not the main login screen that display all accounts list)
[5] [Bug] Tap on password input field, screen keyboard doesn't appear. you
cannot get it by anyway

(Alternative solution)
- Tap the user accounts icon located on right side down corner then it bring to
locked screen that display time
- Tap on screen again, it display main login screen that display all user
accounts. Now you can tap on already logged user account icon and it brings to
existing logged account login screen, now screen keyboard appear and you can
unlock the session

(About universal access > enable screen keyboard)
If enable that, then it display screen keyboard on 4th step but any key input
doesn't appear on password input field. Furthermore that screen keyboard
through universal access too annoying because after that, screen keyboard pop
up when tap on text field.

[Bug 1896394] Re: Prevent add to favorite and vise versa when move apps to left or right

2020-10-14 Thread hatsune
@seb128 dock has as default installation mode. furthermore moving dock icons
position isn't a comfortable task because it resistant to move, difficult to
pick the new position quickly. you have to check kubuntu or windows 10 to
realize what i mean about.

[Bug 1896394] Re: Prevent add to favorite and vise versa when move apps to left or right

2020-09-25 Thread hatsune
I continue help through "Describe the problem in different words"

Eg: Add 5 favorite apps to dock and Open another 5 apps (non favorite)
then all apps in dock - 10

Reproduce instruction: Auto get added to favorite
Drag 9th app icon to 5th position or 2nd position and drop then you'll see
notification that app added to favorite

Reproduce instruction: Auto get removed from favorite
Drag 2nd app (already favorite app) to 9th position and drop then you'll see
notification that app removed from favorite. (however seldom this misbehave
means nothing happen)

So i mean about remove this whole feature. (Auto adds to favorite and
vise versa when move apps position by drag and drop) also no such
feature in kde or windows 10

If user require to app into dock favorite then easy to right click on
app and select 'add to favorite'

[Bug 1896394] [NEW] Prevent add to favorite and vise versa when move apps to left or right

2020-09-20 Thread hatsune
Public bug reported:

Gnome dock has serious issue, we cannot move apps to left then it get
added to favorite and if move to right then get removed from favorite
then as result users cannot move apps in dock as preferred.

No one add apps to 'dock favorite' more often then already it's possible
to perform by right click on required app icon and click 'add to
favorite'

Is it possible to address this issue soon, this is most likely erase
some codes rather than implement new feature.

KDE and Windows 10 don't have such issue.

[Bug 1891016] Re: [Keyboard Layouts] No actual keyboard layouts for many languages

2020-09-20 Thread hatsune
Update regarding keyboard layouts.

[Ubuntu 20.04.01] I noticed relevant keyboard layouts available now but i
couldn't track versions or updates. I guess this may or may not applicable to
other languages.
However there is still an issue; even newly appeared keyboard layouts are
correct and working properly but when click each layouts 'show keyboard layout'
eye icon then it still display english characters and not the particular
language own characters.

[Bug 1891016] Re: [Keyboard Layouts] No actual keyboard layouts for many languages

2020-08-23 Thread hatsune
** Description changed:

  Ubuntu 20.4.1 LTS

  gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true
  (done)

On ubuntu, proper keyboard layouts not available for many languages. Below
few examples
  - Chinese (Available layouts: Chinese, Hanyu Pinyin(altgr)
  - Sinhala (Available layouts: US, with sinhala letters, Sinhala (phonetic)
  and many other languages

According above two examples, it's better to not add above mentioned
layouts because no useful at all.

See the windows 10, it has exact proper keyboard layouts for nearly all
popular languages. Review them and implement the same for ubuntu

+ Furthermore, there're huge amount of keyboard layouts available with
+ english characters for many languages.(eg: japanese, thai and more) it's
+ better remove them and basically duplicate with english keyboard layouts
+ (or you may able to merge into english keyboards list if necessary)

2020-08-11 Thread hatsune
Public bug reported:

Opened applications

Currently click on dock icons only help to maximize application and
unable to minimize by click on the same icon once again. (Then we have
to bring cursor to maximized application minimize button)

But on windows 10 has that facility.

[Bug 1891016] [NEW] [Keyboard Layouts] No actual keyboard layouts for many languages

2020-08-10 Thread hatsune
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 20.4.1 LTS

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true
(done)

On ubuntu, proper keyboard layouts not available for many languages. Below few
examples
- Chinese (Available layouts: Chinese, Hanyu Pinyin(altgr)
- Sinhala (Available layouts: US, with sinhala letters, Sinhala (phonetic)
and many other languages

According above two examples, it's better to not add above mentioned
layouts because no useful at all.

See the windows, it has exact proper keyboard layouts for nearly all
popular languages.

I dont know where to submit feature requests so submited here also bug
reports option for launchpad > ubuntu doesn't allow to create directly
same as for questions.
