[Bug 1019876] Re: installer crashed during install

2012-07-02 Thread Jacob Bunk Nielsen
I tried installing 12.10 on that machine (a brand new Asus Zenbook Prime
laptop (Ivy bridge)) and it worked fine, so the bug seems to be fixed in
12.10.

[Bug 1019876] Re: installer crashed during install

2013-12-05 Thread Jacob Bunk Nielsen
Thank you for the feedback, I have long since moved on to a newer
version of Ubuntu, but I can tell you that I created the installation
USB stick using UNetbootin with an Ubuntu ISO image I downloaded from
ubuntu.com. I used UNetbootin on a computer running Debian unstable.

[Bug 1813902] Re: Lenovo Thinkpad T540p - Kernel Crash 4.15.0-44 (18.04 LTS)

2019-01-30 Thread Jacob Bunk Nielsen
I see a problem that I think may be the same on a T470s. I don't know
how to confirm if it's the same problem since my laptop crash when I
lock the screen when the laptop is docked in a Lenovo dock. It started
recently after upgrading the kernel.

I also switched to the 4.18.0-14-generic kernel, and it seems to just
work.

This is still a problem for me. What extra information would be
required?

[Bug 1885693] [NEW] Unwanted reboot after screen is locked

2020-06-30 Thread Jacob Bunk Nielsen
Public bug reported:

After locking the screen to leave the computer for a few minutes, I come
back to a computer that is freshly rebooted. It usually happens 1 out of
4 or 5 times when locking the screen.

This only happens when my laptop (Lenovo T470s, also seen with T490) is
connected to my USB-C dock. The problem has been observed with 18.04,
19.10 and 20.04.

[Bug 1885693] Re: Unwanted reboot after screen is locked

2020-07-14 Thread Jacob Bunk Nielsen
After running "xset s off -dpms" I haven't seen any crashes for a few
days. I used to have a few crashes every day when connecting to the
dock.
