Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
As I understand it, Debian and Ubuntu have replaced the stock Firefox
icon and Thunderbird due to Mozilla's licensing terms. So at least
replace them with something that's easy on the eyes - nice to look at -
than a blue globe which just looks
This bug should be reopened. The Mozilla people have clearly indicated
that they are open to talks re giving permission for usage of the
Firefox (and Thunderbird I hope) artwork. Please kindly talk with them
and for Edgy I hope to see the regular Mozilla artwork for both Firefox

Binary package hint: k3b
K3B is currently listed at: http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/otherosfs/
No one expects it under Other OS's and file systems since by the
self-professed description at http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/ that section
is only for software to run

I download the Kubuntu DVD thinking it will have the entirety of KDE on
it - namely all the packages whose sources available from KDE -- those

I do not understand what you mean by the Kubuntu DVD is the same (as
the Ubuntu DVD) since the list files are obviously different.
Anyway, I understand that both DVDs include the same main component.

want, we can press Esc to see the actual messages but till then we have
just a graphical screen with something moving to indicate the progress
of the bootup.
I wish Malone had a way for users to add votes. I would vote for this
one. SUSE Linux 10.1's hibernate display is quite neat, for comparison.
It's dehibernate display is not graphical, but at least it is ok and
clean. The *ubuntu dehibernate display is horrible!

a) GRUB menu should have a spalsh screen.
a) was decided to not begin done, as we (and grub) faced problems
with /boot being on different partitions.
What does this package do then?: grub-splashimages_1.0.0_all.deb

usplash messages look a little bland and a little intimidating
Well then if you think so make it an upstream bug too. And move cdrecord
etc to some other appropriate category, say under Utilities which is
for file/disk manipulation, backup and archive tools, system
monitoring, input systems, etc.

K3B should be moved to KDE from otherosfs
