Public bug reported: I tried installing ubuntu 16.04 lts amd64: I shrunk the C: volume by 25GB. I ran rufus to make bootable usb. I disabled secure boot. I then proceeded to install ubuntu in the unallocated 25 GB. I formatted 20GB as ext4, and mousepoint to /. I then formatted 5GB as ext4, /home. When I run the installation it says crash due to error in grub2. [Bug 1725057] [NEW] ubuntu install crashed grub not installed amd64 16.04
Public bug reported: i am installing ubuntu 16.04 lts on windows 8 on a separarate partition. while installing, it crashed midway saying the grub was not installed (?). im expecting to have the ubuntu successfully install however it crashed and was only to email this using the try version.
