OK, so rolling around some ideas on how to handle this. One simple way,
one somewhat complex, but kind of neat, way.
Method 1:
Use a config file for nssldap-update-ignoreusers. Probably
/etc/default/nssldap-update-ignoreusers. Have a single line something like:

You add a line in /etc/ldap.conf of the form:
nss_initgroups_okusers user1,user2

This is still an issue with Gutsy. Gutsy is still a supported release,
so I would expect this to be fixed in Gutsy. I cannot run Hardy on my
laptop due to bugs #228365 and #231220.
Please re-open for Gutsy.

Adding a me too to this. The notifier always says I have one package
available. I can update using Adept (when there are updates) or using
Apt via the command line, and it always reverts to one package
available. I have no packages held back (at least apt doesn't tell me
I do).

The system detected and activated the built-in broadcom wireless. This
seemed to be interferring with some network operations, so I went to
KNetworkManager and disabled it. A few seconds later, the light popped
on again, tried to

In my /etc/uswsusp.conf file, I found this:

Apparently the upgrade had modified it. I uncommented the first line,

In trying to do a print-preview in Evolution (running under a KDE
desktop), I kept getting a message that 'evince' could not be found to
do the print preview. After changing all the gnome defaults to use kpdf
and kghostview, I was still getting the message.
I finally found
Not much needed to be done. I enable simple-vhost and fastcgi (although
I didn't need to do either). CGI would be needed if fastcgi wasn't
enabled. I set the document root to the root location, and away we
went.
I added a rewrite rule to prevent certain directories from being
entered.
I'm also running into situations where I have been required to delete
the Acquire proxy line from a machine's apt.conf even if it is another
physical machine (i.e. not localhost, not a VM on the Apt Proxy
machine).

OK, so rolling around some ideas on how to handle this. One simple way,
one somewhat complex, but kind of neat, way.
Method 1:
Use a config file for nssldap-update-ignoreusers. Probably
/etc/default/nssldap-update-ignoreusers. Have a single line something like:
So, here is the patch.
You add a line in /etc/ldap.conf of the form:
nss_initgroups_okusers user1,user2
Thanks to pgas on #awk for help with the awk syntax and best practices.

Woohoo! I see 4.0.0.8 for lucid and oneric in

for natty so I can upgrade.
By the way...when I did a apt-get upgrade it told me it was going to
install the version for lucid. Is that because not all the packages are
there, or

I think my issue is related to this bug. This is Ubuntu 12.04.
Attached is what I get when I plug it in to the USB port.
I get the same issue with Alsa mixer. If I tries to select the camera as
a card, Alsa mixer dies with the invalid argument.

We tried to use the new kernel, and it failed. It booted, but ipv6 was
enabled, which appeared to make Jenkins only listen on the IPv6
addresses. Once I disabled IPv6, I realized eth3 (our internal Mellanox
10GbE card, ironically enough) was not visible to the system.
