Same behavior for me, under ubuntu 8.04 AMD64, firefox 3.03, history,
bookmarks were gone.
Solved by renaming profile folder and changing profile.ini.

Confirmed on 8.04, amd64.
Printer: Dell mfp 3115cn.
It works nicely, but kpdf sends files which are identified by the dell printer
as size letter. And the printer does not have a nice option to use another type
of paper for a given job. Son cannot print.
So after a few years with kpdf I have

Ok, have been testing it (I actually had proposed enabled, but had
hardwired the kernel in menu.lst, so was using 17 anyway)
Using proposed -19, still same behavior: after resume from hibernate or
suspend there is no wacom stylus.

Ok, two different bugs. On toshiba laptops using toshset to activate
external monitor, you get a black screen no matter even if you use X
(also with X off, from a virtual terminal). Obviously it does not matter

After disabling desktop effects, and waiting for a while (?) the
X-server restarted and now I can use the external monitor and internal
in mirror mode (I have external at 1600x1200, internal at 1024x768).
Other configurations (xrandr --output VGA1 --above LVDS1...) do not
change
Confirmed: cannot use the external monitor, computer will crash as soon
as I try to switch in on with toshset -video both. Was working ok with
9.04.
Hardware: Toshiba Portege M400, with intel 945GM.

goes to sleep, but never comes back. Had Frédéric Simon trick already
(needed for the open source drivers).

I have a similar behavior, under ubuntu 11.10 amd64 using xsane 0.998.
Works fine in flatbed mode.
With the TMA, in 1200dpi I can do a draft scan, trying a real one kills the
scanner:
usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd xsane rqt 192 rq 12 len 1 ret -110
After that the scanner has to be powered
This was making impress completely unusable on my computers (one Core2
with ubuntu 10.04 AMD64, another pentium IV with ubuntu 10.04 32bits).
Disabling antialising did the trick.
