[Bug 422567] [NEW] baobab stops prematurely with two instances
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-utils When the program baobab is scanning a network drive and a second instance of it is opened and closed, the analysis stops prematurely. I am using: Ubuntu 9.04 gnome-utils: 2.26.0-0ubuntu1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open baobab (Disk Usage Analysis) 2. Instruct it to scan a Windows network drive 3. Open a second baobab 4. Close the baobab from step #3 5. The baobab from step #1 has finished, although it has not yet scanned all of the files ** Affects: gnome-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- baobab stops prematurely with two instances https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422567 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1568459] Re: unison incompatible with older ubuntu/debian versions
This bug can be worked around by installing the packages for 15.10. [Bug 1302416] Re: deja-dup monitor was taking 6GB of memory
Also applies to stock installed Ubuntu 16.04 x64. It is noteworthy that I have deja-dup turned OFF in my settings. [Bug 1302416] Re: deja-dup monitor was taking 6GB of memory
When I had the issue I did not have Google Chrome installed. I was instead, creating disk images with ddrescue. Needless to say that involved some active changes in files substantially larger than the amount of system memory. Unfortunately as the issue occurred spontaneously and completely disabled my computer when it happened, I had resorted to uninstalling deja-dup rather than attempting to resolve the issue. Will try fix next week. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1302416 Title: deja-dup monitor was taking 6GB of memory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+bug/1302416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1877759] [NEW] update-manager takes proxy settings from unreasonable places
Public bug reported: While trying to do a do-release-update today on Ubuntu 16.04 I hit an unusual snag ("No new releases found") which turned out to be caused by out of date proxy settings in Synaptic -- an apt package management GUI that was last relevant approximately 10 years ago in Ubuntu 9.04 . Test case: 1. Have invalid proxy settings from 10 years ago in "/root/.synaptic/synaptic.conf" 2. Run release update either through GUI or using "do-release-upgrade" in bash 3. Receive error "No new releases found" I have confirmed that once I deleted "/root/.synaptic/synaptic.conf", the distribution update shows up correctly. I understand the consideration of this file was added to the release- updater code trying to resolve a bug, but it is really unreasonable to expect someone to be able to figure out this is to blame for a rejected distribution update in 2020. At the very least include some debugging information. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877759 Title: update-manager takes proxy settings from unreasonable places To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1877759/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
