[Bug 1721619] [NEW] Mouse ignored by Xorg
Public bug reported: Resizing a window with the mouse, the pointer got stuck with the resizing icon. The cursor was still (visually) moving. I used xev to try figuring out what Xorg was receiving. Weird, xev was reporting nothing, not even mouse moves (from what I remember, it is not drawn by software). I have 2 mice and they where both behaving the same. I switch to console and cat /dev/input/mice, both mice where working fine. I tried to find a way to reset (only) the pointer but could not find any, is there ? Then I killed Xorg witch was restarted automatically and the pointer was fine. You should have all the hardware info, but I'm using a mac mini 5,1 and a magic mouse. [Bug 1271621] [NEW] Input language should be set to default when screen gets locked.
Public bug reported: This problems comes from using a dual keyboard layout. I face the problem using Ubuntu, but other distros most have the same problem. When I first log in the computer, I use a default input language to type my password (english). Then I use my session switching between french and english keyboard layout. Then I lock my session and when I come back, the keyboard input language is set to the session language. I think from a user perspective, locking a session is about the same as logging out except he keeps his windows opened. So the input language should be set to a default language then whether the user first log in or he locked the screen he input the password using the same key sequence and not having to check the current language. ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1271621 Title: Input language should be set to default when screen gets locked. [Bug 869502] Re: Kernel-Panic with 3.0.0.12-generic on asus eee pcs and msi wind (both using rt2800 wifi chipset)
Same problem here on a eeepc 1015, the device is RT3090. I downloaded the driver for 3090 from ralink web site and it works fine. I thought I should mention that since everyone seems to have the problem with rt2860. Output of lspci -k : Network controller: Ralink corp. Under /lib/firmware, there are firmwares for rt2860 and rt3090. Since they have the same md5, I guess it does not mather, but seems weird it's using rt2860. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/869502 Title: Kernel-Panic with 3.0.0.12-generic on asus eee pcs and msi wind (both using rt2800 wifi chipset) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/869502/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
