Firefox seems to suddenly crash halfway through running a citrix

well ... this computer has gone months ago ;-) , but I experienced a similar
problem in the new computer where I installed 7.10. It happened two times after
two kernel updates.
I made a new installation of 7.10 at hd(3,0).
Later I moved the disk, the hd(3) becomes hd(0), theferore I
i can confirm that on a nx8220 laptop. suspend works well but i get the error
message after a resume.
after that the timeouts for switching of the screen and the autosuspend do no

works only as long as the computer is not turned off. Is there a way to
make this working automatically as well when the computer is turned on?

I have now tried the patch from Gerson fserve Barreiros for the last
few days and the system runs instable. I have tried to use either
GFreqlet for the panel or via Konsole powernowd. And for both option I
recognize that there is a throtteling of the system-tact, but after
approx. 30 min. or so,
Adding the new patch did solve as well the problem. The Bug could be
closed.

The system hangs now on a regular base. The screen freeze, it is seen
that the screen is tried to grab something, but unclear what, and
finally some parts are different coloured then before. Checking the
Syslog I see different results, from which I frankly have no clue, how
I am now running for the changed options for about one week and it seems
they work. The previous experienced problems I would say, are related to
two instances of monitoring CPU-frequency. This was manly due to the

I have the same result with the uname -a as João Pinto. I have tried as
well with 2.6.26, but there I have other problems (sound does not work).
Since I have read in the release info there are several fixes in the
newer kernels for the intel-graphic-driver I really looking forward to a
solution.

Everything works ok
With the last update all the problems are corrected. I have the fglrx
driver installed and it woks fine. I have 3d aceleration (fglrxgears
works ok) and the compiz effects.

I'm try to edit xorg.conf an add in the section Device the line

When I restart the system , I have a problem with graphics and the
reconfiguration of graphics dialog is displayed.
If I put ati, the system works like vesa.

I can confirm this issue too.
I have this problem watching video from vlc. Watching video from totem have not
this bug.

I can assume, maybe any root previlegions (rights) to sound hardware are
different (when boot from LiveCD and then boot from installed system).
How can I check it? I add user leo to the groups pulse, pulse-
access and audio. It doesn't help.

Hi! I changed the status back to Incomplete.
I have the same hardware as that of Pac Shady, but he is no longer
testing his one.
I have installed standard Karmic desktop 32bit, with kernel
2.6.31-15-generic
After suspending and resuming, the screen goes black forever (it is not

I have compared settings in alsamixer. All settings are identical. And
there are: if boot from LiveCD capture work (Sound Recorder, Skype), if
boot from hard disc capture don't work. I nave installed all updates
today. Which sound settings I can check else?
