I don't think this is exactly the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control- center/+bug/1762256 because when I try installing the tree of dependencies I get slightly different errors... $ sudo apt install colord Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree

Thanks. Yes, I had installed a ppa for simple-scan a long time ago to fix a scanner issue but I thought I'd gotten rid of it. I have also just deleted all the ppas to do with that under /etc/apt/sources.list.d. But I still can't get gnome-control-center to run or be installed: The following
