I cant get in what language this bug is filed in. Looks like English mixed with
some European language.
As far as I can deduce, the problem lies in booting from the liveCD itself, so
it should goto casper package.
Carlos,
Can you be more clear in proper English what you exactly wanted to say?
Dont think that what happens in Windows is correct and id this doesnt
happen in Linux then its wrong.
When you unmount your pen drive, the light should be go OFF. Even in
Vista light doesnt go off which is correct. Linux also follows the same
principle.
I have heard about it as recommendation

Chris,
I can understand that English is not everybody's language. The bug
report should contain at least that much information which is required
for understanding the nature of bug.
BTW I am also graterful t Carlos for taking time to report the bug. More

I too tried installing Jaunty Betaon VirtualBox with Network

force shut down the VM. Next time before booting, I disabled the
network.
The question is that when I chose english, then why is it trying to get

What more information is required?
I can see that the version of Geany in Jaunty is going to be 0.14 , not 0.15
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/geany/
Intrepid too has 0.14
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/geany/
What needs to be done to make 0.15 available in
I agree with Vishal,
Many of us still have to pay for bandwidth usage per MB. I currently live in
India where I have 1 GB monthly cap. It might seem funny, but its reality in
developing countries. If I exceed my usage then I am charged Rs. 0.90/MB where
conversion rate is 1USD= 46INR
The user
Evan,
I too agree with you. The installer should tell explicitly that its going to
use the internet connection and tell what is wants to do with the connection.
What packages it want to download.
It should not proceed without confirming from the user whether he wants to
download them or not.
I don't think this comes under Bugs. It can be a request to make the new
version available in repos.
Hardy comes with Geany 0.13 and Intrepid with 0.14. I think this is enough.
Please send discuss this on [EMAIL PROTECTED]
** Changed in: geany (Ubuntu)
Status: New = Invalid

On my machine, it definitely looks like a problem with NVidia Drivers.
I installed 8.04. The moment I said yes to restricted drivers, it stopped
booting. If I remove restricted drivers, then it boots fine with default
800x600 resolution. It's repeatable.
I also tried using nvidia-glx-new, as

As far as I can remember, it was problem with nvidia drivers. 7.10 used to
work fine, but upgrading to 8.04 messed up the entire install.
Sorry, I got fed up and removed ubuntu. Will try again with 9.04 when I get
time.
