I can confirm this still exists in 12.04 64bit running LibreOffice 3.5.4.2. I'm running a Core i5-2500K with 8Gig RAM and an nVidia GT440. As a simple test, create a new doc, place a large smiley object, zoom in. Now scroll up / down with (and without) AA enabled to see the difference in speed.

The error Rhythmbox states is that it can't resolve some of the dependencies when installing gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg. If you do a manual ... sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg ... this installs all the required files. A quick restart of Rhythmbox and all imports appear to work fine. --
