Public bug reported:
package contains Rhodes.ogg, which is a fine sound effect to use for inserting
a device (like a flash drive).
i've created "Reverse Rhodes.ogg" and would like to have it considered for the
package for use when removing a device.
** Affects: ubuntu-touch-sounds (Ubuntu)
I tried the latest BIOS available directly from the manufacturer website (HP)
and, wow, the bug's gone! :)
It even solved another (unimportant) bug: Ubuntu now recognizes when I'm
changing the display's brightness!
So, this bug can be marked as solved.

Laptop lid responds only once on HP
Hello Bryce,
thanks for your feedback.
I've attached the logs you requested.
In the meantime I noticed that through several updates in Ubuntu
karmic, my framerate increased to approx. 400 fps. Although this is an
improvement, it's still way below the usual framerate.

Ok, in that case, this bug report can be closed.
I thought glxgears was especially designed for benchmark purposes. At
the moment, the driver is stable and has enough performance for compiz
desktop effects.

wasn't able to find the specific kernel option, maybe someone can help.
It may be a little security issue too, because some people may trust
Ubuntu locks the screen when closing the laptop, although it doesn't
because of the bug.
