[Bug 1315021] [NEW] Service restart fails because process has not exited
Public bug reported: When restarting the puppetmaster process (via the service command, or calling the initscript directly), the restart can fail if the original process does not exit immediately. This is because the initscript is not written to wait for the original process to exit. In my testing under Trusty, adding -R n to the start-stop-daemon command in the initscript fixed the problem. It's difficult to determine an appropriate value for n, but it could be tunable via /etc/default/puppetmaster. It's definitely a problem not to wait at all for the process to exit. ** Affects: puppetmaster (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - When the puppetmaster process (via the service command, or calling the - initscript directly), the restart can fail if the original process does - not exit immediately. [Bug 1090383] [NEW] Dash does not display unless other windows are open
Public bug reported: When no windows are open on the screen, as when I've first logged in, the Dash refuses to open. The launcher bar works (hiding/showing, as expected), but clicking the Dash Home button or pressing the Super key does nothing. As soon as I open any window (usually I drop down Tilda using a key shortcut), the on-screen button and Super key both work again. This problem started after an upgrade from Precise to Quantal. After talking this through with a few folks, it looks like this may be fixed in some version of juju. Adding juju-origin: ppa to environments.yaml makes the problem go away. [Bug 1046910] [NEW] Custom keyboard shortcuts for maximize and restore are broken after upgrade
Public bug reported: After upgrading 12.10 beta, I found that my custom maximize (ctrl-super- up) and minimize (ctrl-super-down) shortcuts weren't working. The default shortcuts (super-up, super-down) did work, and were reported in the shortcuts screen (hold super). Re-applying the shortcuts in the keyboard shortcuts panel didn't fix them, but disabling them and re-setting them did. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046910 Title: Custom keyboard shortcuts for maximize and restore are broken after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1046910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
