apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Lately one of my boxes reproducably freezes when I copy data from internal hard disk to an USB device (USB hard disk or USB key). It looks like it works at first, than the "wait for IO load" in the system monitor applet rises to max and the system does no longer respond to input, only hard reboot brings it back to life. When booting the previous kernel 4.13.0-32 all is fine. Do I boot to -36 the error is back. I append a lshw dump as text file. There is only one recommendation: Trash ubuntu one and use something else. I switched to dropbox 1.5 years ago and I'm very satisfied. I will not return to u1. [Bug 460570] Re: not online when connected via UMTS
Update: I reverted to version 2.0beta of the betavine driver that worked under Jaunty this morning due to massive connect problems with network manager as well the betavine program. Now it works but conflicted the whole Ubuntu One folder again. At the moment a complete re-download is running (~ 1.1 GB). -- not online when connected via UMTS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 361554] Re: update-manager doesn't honor apt.conf Proxy setting
Workaround: manually edit /etc/apt/sources.list and replace all occurances of jaunty with karmic and launch update-manager (without -d). This works, only does not give you the message box telling stuff about the new release. It simply offers a distribution upgrade and if allowed to do, executes this just fine. -- update-manager doesn't honor apt.conf Proxy setting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361554 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 460570] Re: not online when connected via UMTS
I have two ways to connect, the tool I used when creating the report and normal using network manager. The behavior is odd in both cases. When using network manager I got a connect after all, but no data was transferred. On the other hand my whole Ubuntu One folder was conflicted (twice, as I tried this twice). ATM the netbook is packaged, I will report back with the requested output tomorrow. -- not online when connected via UMTS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 460570] [NEW] not online when connected via UMTS
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client I run Karmic rc on this machine. In installed using WLAN connection. Using this connection I also connected an initially downloaded U1. This worked fine so far. But usually this machine (a netbook) is connected to the net via UMTS(so just right now). I can browse mail and so on, so the connection is OK. But ubuntuone does not really regognize the connection. watching syncdaemon.log (i have a small shellscript for this due to the problems I encountered in the past), I see a we are ready message and MARKS with empty queues. The tray icon has an exclamation mark and gives connect when clicked. But it does not connect. Where can I look? BTW.: until friday I ran Jaunty here, using U1 beta and it worked via UMTS. This installation used the betavine vodafone driver 2.0beta. Now i have 2.15 of this driver.
