From Ubuntu 12 to Ubuntu 13 (French versions). Partial installation ( I
do not know why) = error message. Not always the same. Once I have had
a message about unity being in a black-list, but I do not know what
it means.

The bug was due to Debian Sid. I do not why I have added this
unstable package, but I removed it, and everything seems OK now. At
least the automatic update has been able to finish without any error
message any more.

My presentation worked well last week. Now it crashes (and I need it soon!). I
have been able to open it in Read-only mode, and copied-pasted just one slide,
which contains a custom animation, to generate a test.odp file. I saved it, but
i t also crashes when I try to
Downloaded LIbreOffice 4.2 and installed it. Now, it seems to work. Too
bad the default LibreOffice for Ubuntu 12.04 is still the version 3.

The system proposed me a lot of updates. I accepted. It began to work, and then
displayed the message saying it could not upgrade lilypond.
BTW, the Ubuntu 14.10 version has been automatically proposed to me as a LTS
one (I do insist: LTS, I did not ask for
Ubuntu 14.10.
Just turning my computer on:

I unfortunately have Ubuntu 14.10, for a few weeks (and I do not even why, for
I simply accepted a proposed update, in which it was presented as a LTS version
).
It is is a nightmare for me.
A lot of tools that I used to use crash very often or simply do not work.
So I do have to go back to
Ubuntu 14.10

Still present in Ubuntu 14.10. I checked: Nautilus managing the Desktop is on,
but no icons. Even the command
nautilus --force-desktop
has no effect.

LyX crashed without any error message. After that both paper.lyx and
paper.lyx.emergency were corrupted (only 12 Ko), and LyX could not open
them (trying for infinite time, I had to use Force Quit).

at all. I have to use dconf-editor:
org/gnome/desktop/background
show-desktop-icons IS on, I have to set if OFF, and then ON again, and all
icons almost immediately do appear.
