2021-03-10 Thread Micha Lenk
This is just a bugfix, so I don't think a FFe is needed. Instead this
just needs a sponsor.

Removing ubuntu-release, adding ubuntu-sponsors.

+Summary: Switch to systemd service type 'notify' for synchronous service
management
+ By calling sd_notify() the smcroute daemon (smcrouted) can tell the systemd
+ service manager when it is fully up and running. This allows systemd to manage
+ services synchronously (service type 'notify') so that dependent tasks can
+ rely on smcrouted being fully up and running.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all
reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since
that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some
of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently
supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly
upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1329357

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

[Bug 1807325] Re: aqbanking wizard in GNUCash doesn't support SNI

2020-07-24 Thread Micha Lenk
I was able to reproduce this issue using the "USAA Federal Savings Bank"
(fid 483). A warning about a certificate mismatch appears.

Some code research in libaqbanking and libgwenhywfar revealed the used
libraries indeed don't call the gnutls_server_name_set() function to set
the SNI.

Not even Kodi does work on the laptop - cannot verify if it is the same

[Bug 1430561] Re: hp-plugin crashes with error: Python gobject/dbus may be not installed

2019-01-09 Thread micha-l
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1422004 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1422004

I am having the issue on Ubuntu 18.04. Thanks Jevgenijs your suggested solution
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/1430561/comments/27
partly worked for me. I was able to install the plugin without any errors. But
when I try to set up my printer (Laserjet M1212nf MFP) it get the following
error:

functionalities may not work as expected without plug-ins. Please run
'hp-plugin' as normal user to install plug-ins. Visit

So even if I am able able to install the plugin it somehow is not
recognized by the hp-setup and I am still stuck and not able to
print/scan/fax.

So do you maybe have any suggestion how to get this solved?

Thanks a lot!

Micha

[Bug 727074] Re: setting Edge Trigger Delay is ineffective on Desktop Wall Edge Flipping

2018-12-28 Thread Micha
Why is this still noit fixed?!??

Why does it take so long to fix such a stuff in Linux...its so frustrating!
Does noone here test software before a release? Dumb question, I know as its
obviously...however, to be a bit productive:

@johann-glaser This has nothing to do with the "wall"-plugin...the wall-
plugin is inactive here on Mint Mate, so it cant have any effect to edit
the wall.xml as read somewhere before. "rotate" is a different plugin.

There are 2 options in my opinion:

Some of the coders here have to add an "edge_flip_delay" to the plugin
"(cube)rotate", or
option 2 - some of the coders here have to make "edge_flip" in "rotate" to work
with "edge_delay" in general-settings.

Please please please fix this, guys!!! Soon please.

This problem exists since 2011

[Bug 1607938] Re: mysql_upgrade: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' (using password: YES) while connecting to the MySQL server

2017-01-30 Thread Micha Grandel
I got the same error yesterday. I installed mariadb in the past, but
forgot about this and then tried to use and install mysql. My solution
was a complete uninstall of mysql and mariadb and a clean install of
mariadb. Especially the fact that Gerardo tries to connect to a mysql
server, but mysql-server-5.7 is not installed on his/her machine makes
me think that mariadb might be involed, because I got equal error
messages.

Maybe this is related to #1490071

repositories. The application works as expected in Ubuntu and Xubuntu
16.04 (in Virtualbox VM's). However in Lubuntu 16.04, whenever trying to
resize the window, the system becomes unresponsive and locks up. A hard
reset is required to reboot the VM.

It is possible to minimize, then restore the Spatialite-gui window
without problem, but every attempt to maximize or resize (by dragging
corners) causes the lockup.

The developer of Spatialte suggests: "cause should be possibly related
to a buggish porting of wxGTK3"

This issue is specific to Lubuntu: the same application on Debian,
Fedora, and other versions of Ubuntu 16.04 do not have the problem.

[Bug 1531865] Re: 4.2 (linux-generic-lts-wily) kernel hangs on Bay Trail based Asus X553MA

2016-03-30 Thread micha
Got the same freezes with my ASUS F551 (N2930 Baytrail) - (no more hangs
with intel_idle.max_cstate=1 since 2 days)

Interestingly enough I got those freezes after updating from win 8.1 to win10.
In fact, that's why I landed here, because to me it looked like a hardware
defect at first sight and my idea was trying a different OS for verification.
Even if it sounds a little weird: It looks like the same bug has made it into
Linux AND Windows. Too bad that I don't know how to run Windows with a similar
boot option - I'd expect it would fix the problem on that side, too.

2016-02-24 Thread Micha
Same fun as here...^^ : What has this problem to do with Python or
Zope?!?

Why should this be a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zope2.8/+bug/35998 ?

Does Alexdeucher receive this post here - or do I need to post this
question there?

There already is a report there by me, is that enough? If not, what is
wrong, what is missing?

[Bug 1547235] Re: x1250 rs600m graphical corruption

2016-02-18 Thread Micha
Yes, I know, it´s impossible to play any game since this damn driver-
situation changed.

And I am about to sell this (still great) laptop, too...but this could
be no solution. What will happen is, that the poor buyers sitting in 4
weeks here, where we are now.

However, I am getting more and more tired with this shit-situation...and
that bugreports here ´expire´ (even if the problems are still exist) or
someone again and again setting reports to ´incomplete´ does not make
this feeling better -

so please Mr Penalver, tell me why you set this to ´incomplete´ again and what
information is missing, that I can give them to you asap

Still interested in more information what you´re doing here - for what
is a new report by me better than simply writing in the existing report
- with exactly the same issue - since 2011...

Btw, why do you report marked this as incomplete? What is now still
missing?

Whats going on here feels like "be quiet until we can say that the problem or
driver is expired and noone should know what we are (not) doing here" ...

[Bug 1547235] [NEW] x1250 rs600m graphical corruption

2016-02-18 Thread Micha
Public bug reported:

Further informations are known by x threads all around the net since 2011 -
there is a problem with the free Radeon-driver and the x1250 rs600m-graphic
card!

It does not only affect Ubuntu, it also affects Debian or Mint (which I
prefer to use).

Ubuntu itself has graphical corruptions on the Unity-desktop directly
after installation...simply look all the pics around the net (or into
the attachment). Same corruptions on Ubuntu-games (Teeworld for example)
as in Mint and so on -

it is no Ubuntu- or Mesaproblem, there definately must be a bug or
problem with the free driver in my opinion.

(dear mr Penalver - now you have another report (you can mark as a
duplicate...I still do not know how this report here should make any difference
to all the existing ones)), for the case that all the reports around the
internet since 2011 are not enough. I do not know what a repository-kernel is,
I simply installed the daily build of Ubuntu some days ago - if it is REALLY
(!) neccessary to try around with any repos-kernel (what I do not believe), pls
give me informations how to do that)

[Bug 1049630] Re: gnome-shell weird lines

2016-02-18 Thread Micha
Why?

Why are you setting the statut here to ´new´?!?
T
his problem here is unsolved since 2011, still the same graphical corruptions!

For what do you need a new report from me??? HERE are...10? people all
complaining the same, without solutionsince 2011!
And you say, it helps "immensely" if I file a new report (again)?

I do not think so, but as I have soo much time to waste and to make you
happy, I´ll try now...even if I already know its a waste of time...again
and again.

20115 years already without a proper solution.

[Bug 1492580] Re: Display corruption

2016-02-10 Thread Micha
Its a pure Horror herethere are massive problems with this goddamn
X1250 around all distros - and noone is able to fix this shit in all
that time RGHH!

I posted X reports by myself in the last months/years - here, Mint,
Debian, I´ve written Emails to ~20 persons involved in the driver-
development - and nothing helpsthe bugtrackers in Ubuntu, Mint,
Linux are so unbelievebale senseless and such a waste of time.when
should the problem being fixed? 2048? Its simply a joke whats going on
here...!

But to make you happy and troll not around all the time, I try the
fucking link noweven if I already know that it does NOT help - and
this damn problem is NOT Mesa-related - its a bug in the damn free
community-Radeon driver.

2016-02-10 Thread Micha
Another waste of time *lol* - this bug (in the Radeon driver in my
opinion!!!) will never being fixed! I´ll talk about that since
years! As said, waste of timehow many
new bugreports do they need to fix that damn bug? 500? Buy such a fu...
laptop on Ebay and watch it yourself instead of asking the users again
and again and again and again for new reports...sooner ore later all of
them disappear unfixedits only frustrating whats going on here -
X1250 is not fully compatible with the free Radeon-driver or in other
words the driver has bugs. Its not Mesa-related.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy such a goddamn Laptop (Samsung R40 for example)

meanwhile! LOL

Its just a joke whats going on here! Remove the X1250 from the list here

IMMEDIATELY () - or fix THE FU. DRIVER! I am so goddamn pissed
about the situation.not hours, not months, YEARS - and still no

(of course AMD should shame, too cause they stopped their good driver at
least) - but all in all I think it´s more shame that Ubuntu and the

timesince YEARS...

However, please fix this list immediately or - better - fix the fucking

Re: [Bug 1434826] Re: Strange artifacts on top of the Unity

2015-10-23 Thread Micha
Hi,
but I do not want to install Ubuntu again only for a bugreport which eventually
is not even possible cause Ubuntu was almost unusable with these defect
graphics/desktop - Mint is working almost except gaming, all Ubuntu-distros I
tried were defect directy after install and first startup with these graphical
problems and almost unusable - and I do not want to delete my almost working
Mate now only for a bugreport...
Thanks anyway, but the problem the x1250 have is definately not Ubuntu-related,
every distro I tried has problems - it must be a mesa / ati-driver problem or

[Bug 1376760] Re: after a screen rotation we get a double mouse pointer

2014-10-31 Thread Micha Moskovic
This annoying bug has been resolved upstream with a very simple one-line change
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel/commit/?id=a88795c64123e4084044451d8861838ea904abd9
 .
It would be great if it could be applied to the ubuntu package.

[Bug 1381638] Re: [Utopic] Wacom stylus button does not work

2014-10-17 Thread Micha Moskovic
I managed to find the reason for the buttons not working: the Wacom option
'tabletpcbutton', which used to be 'off', is now 'on' by default. This can be
changed manually e.g. with 'xsetwacom', but is reset to 'on' after reboot.
I think it would be better if the default was still 'off' as it used to be,
otherwise the buttons only work when the stylus is touching the screen and not
when hovering, which is less useful and unexpected behavior when upgrading from
a previous version.

[Bug 1381638] [NEW] [Utopic] Wacom stylus button does not work

2014-10-15 Thread Micha Moskovic
Public bug reported:

I have a laptop with a wacom digitizer.
After the upgrade to Utopic, the stylus button (I have a single-button stylus)
does not work any more.
I tested with xev, and no events are reported when pressing the button. I also
tried booting the Trusty linux-3.13 kernel and the button still does not work,
so I guess this is a X11 input driver issue rather than a kernel issue.

[Bug 1291890] [NEW] Add Lenovo ThinkPad OneLink GigaLAN USB ID to ax88179 driver

2014-03-13 Thread Micha Moskovic
Public bug reported:

Many new Thinkpad laptops have a dock (Thinkpad OneLink Dock) containing a usb
ethernet chip that is supported by the ax88179 driver.
However its USB ID is not included in the driver shipped with the 3.13 kernel
used in Trusty.
A patch to add this ID has been sent to the LKML (see
https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/2/24/649 ) and it would be very convenient for all
users of the dock if it could be applied to the Trusty kernel.
