I could upload the amd64 package I built somewhere (no clue about PPAs,

kernel workaround for bad ACPI events sent by the hardware. I really
wouldn't blame the Ubuntu developers for that, as fixing any bug of this
sort (of which there are far too many) takes an enormous effort - see

Alt + D in CCSM. Changing to Super + D works except it launches the
launcher every time I press it. Very annoying. This is on Natty from an

Hi Bryce. I am still having lockups but I suspect there may be a hardware
issue involved. I am on a laptop and the heat being given off by the intel
gpu appears to be excessive and progressively getting worse. I am not sure,

cd /var/lib/apt
This is very similar to bug #882005 and, partially, to bug #751504, but
in the latter case the Install button was present. I guess this was
fixed since. However the 'non-existing' package is still listed, i.e. if
you click More Info, you get the message:

This has been happening regularly for the past few days, but I still
haven't found a clear pattern. Often I will start typing into the
empathy IRC window and get no visible reaction for several minutes.
Again, often the hang stops when I click on the main conversation
Since the last comment, I have attempted to lock up the system in the
same manner originally described in this bug. The screen does not go
black and lock up and require a restart as before. Before, about one
out of two times on the lock ups the screen would go black and no signal
would appear to
For the past week the game has been unplayable for me. I was on version
0.82.7.1 of the game. Extremely slow to the point where i could not even
try playing it (~ 2-3 frames per second). I did not save any game logs
at this point unfortunately.
I updated to the new version (Spring 83.0)
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface toolkit-accessibility false
Works for me.
