Hi I did as you said: simply sudo apt-get install nvidia-331 I didn't loose the desktop but the Additional Drivers is missing. However it seems that the driver was installed well! I am attaching all the logs. What command can I run to check that NVIDIA is properly installed and working?

The actual configuration of my computer is: 1. Fresh install of Ubuntu 2. Upgrade Ubuntu That's the state of all the logs I attached. I didn't re-try to install NVIDIA driver manually and therefore I didn't blackout nouveau. Next step would be: blackout nouveau, stop lightdm and install NVIDIA
