Yeah! Unfortunately you're right Mike. Alt-Tab gets stuck for me too. So
I guess it's a Compiz bug. Setting the package relation to Compiz. The
title of the bug should also be changed. It happens in Gutsy too.

I have a somehow related problem: I have a desktop system with 2 sound cards
(one on board and the other a stand alone type). The default mixer selected
in the sound preferences dialog doesn't get saved and so, after every reboot my
sound quick keys control the wrong sound card. The sound
fglrxinfo says

This doesn't seem to happen all the time. Sometimes it just doesn't

Feisty had a problem with the swap partition (the partition ID kept on
changing and the system could not mount the swap correctly). I don't

I believe the spaces (% followed by smth.) are the numbers part of the
problem (they should in fact be there so that the url drives you to the

You're right. Highly unreproducible this one. But seems plausible to me.
I guess the assert fails because the code fails to realize the drag/drop
operation hasn't ended just yet. (I'm just an ordinary user not a

7.04). I know It's insanely large file, but for that you have to blame Scribus

effects. Please specify what version of OO (Impress) you are currently
using and whether or not you have desktop effects / Beryl / Compiz
activated. Also try to run Impress from a console (maybe it throws some

I think 2 programs cannot use the hardware overlay layer both at the
same time. Totem might use a software layer when the overlay is in use
but tvtime might not (excuse my poor understanding of layers and
overlays if I am wrong).

What I don't really understand in the whole threading vs. signals
discussion is why the kernel cannot buffer in a queue of some sort
those signals before processing them. They wouldn't be lost anymore
and the kernel could process them at its own pace.
