are now default in 24.04 and ubuntu are the older ones.

Python 3.12 does not come with a stdlib distutils module[1], because
distutils was deprecated in 3.10 and removed in 3.12. Ubuntu 24.04 ships
Python 3.12.

More than rotated framebuffers, defaulting to simpledrm means Plymouth
doesn't know the physical monitor dimensions. So it uses heuristics and

From the logs I can see you are running an older kernel version
(6.8.0-11-generic). Could you please try with a newer kernel (at least
6.8.0-31) and let us know the results?

@Lucas, it is ready.
We were planning to resolve that bug as part of the whole SRU of 4.7.0.
When n/m/j/f are done, we'll get the bionic one done too, and that will
be 4.7.0 as well, I hope that makes sense.
Or, would you prefer us to fix the current version there first, and then
do the SRU for
