[Bug 435431] Re: Software Store shouldn't use hard coded colors
Marcelo, I don't think your problem is the one described in this bug. The background and fonts color in the software center are theme dependant in the latest version. If you try the high contras inverse theme that comes by default, you should see the background of the history section in dark blue. As such, this problem is not related to hard-coded colors, but is much more likely a problem in the theme you are using not properly adjusting that color. As that theme doesn't seem to come in official packages, you should probably try to contact directly its creator. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435431 Title: Software Store shouldn't use hard coded colors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/435431/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 429003] Re: [karmic] Xorg (and anything GLX) crashes on startup
@Jack, there are millions of reasons why X might not start. The one that produced the bug in this case related to an update of libc6 that caused a problem, that was fixed in a later version. This bug affected all hardware that used the nvidia driver version 185. As I am using this driver in an up to date karmic, I am mostly sure this bug hasn't regressed. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-store Tested with the Humanity icon theme. Many icons get scrambled when using vertical scrolling. Public bug reported: Ive seen this on two laptops, one with intel video card, and other with an nvidia one. The bug appears pretty much in every application, and though it does not make the system unusable, its pretty annoying... What happens, is that several gtk elements fail to display correctly. I attached a screenshot of a print window, where the printers cant be seen, unless one hovers over each of them. This can also be seen in gedit, where when having multiple tabs opened, switching from one to the other causes the whole text are not to be displayed, and it appears only by scrolling or selecting parts of the text. Just equally, this is seen in empathy, where both the conversation box, and the place where you enter new messages fail to display sometimes. I dont seem to reconfigure my fonts to the way they were previously. However, this is the thing... I used the update-manager, and many fonts became bigger. Its not unusable or anything, and many fonts are displayed correctly, but some of them became bigger. For instance nautilus shows abnormally large fonts for the file names, update-manager shows some big fonts too, but there is no overall growth of everything. Also, when accessing appereance-fonts, many fonts were listed with a size 13, (I dont remember precisely the number of 3s but they were more than three 3s), wich is very weird cause if one tries to change font size, it wont allow you to input more than three decimals. [Bug 338262] [NEW] Monodevelop beta 1 works unproperly with vte in Jaunty
Public bug reported: Trying to use monodevelop beta 1 with the vte (virtual terminal emulator) CLI bindings. An example program compiles and runs on a first try, but after closing and opening monodevelop again, if compiled with debug configuration it says Vte namespace could not be found, and when using release configuration it says: Error during assembly signing. The specified file `/usr/lib/mono/gac/vte-sharp/0.16.0.0__35e10195dab3c99f/vte-sharp.dll' does not have a private key(CS1548) I installed monodevelop and gnome-desktop-sharp2 from the official repositories, this installs the package libvte0.16-cil wich provides the vte bindings needed. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem, after installing the packages mentioned above. 1: Open monodevelop, and create a GTK# solution. 2: Replace the main file with the example located here: http://www.go-mono.com/docs/index.aspx?link=N:Vte, but erase the line term.SetColors (black, white, white, 16); or else it never compiles. 3: In the solution toolbar, choose edit references for the solution (right click on References) and add both the gnomedesktop-sharp and vte-sharp references (note that vte-sharp's version will be listed under the added references as 0.16.0.0). 4: Compile the solution and run it. It should work just right (it will display a terminal). 5: Close monodevelop, and open it again 6: Edit the file slightly (for instance, add a new line somewhere) and then recompile (this, is because it will not recompile the program unless the file changes). Compilation this time should fail with the error mentioned above. Now trying to remove and add once again the references to see if I could compile the program again (wich didnt work), i went once again to edit references, and I saw something strange there. In the list where you can check references vte-sharp appears unchecked (with listed version 0.16.0.0), but it appears listed under the added references with version 2.12.0. Also, as vte-sharp appears unchecked, monodevelop allows me to add it once again wich leaves me with two references to vte-sharp... So,long story short, my solution wich uses vte can only compile when I first work with it. Afterwards, no matter what I do, I cant get that solution to work, and I need to create a whole new solution to do anything vte related. ** Affects: monodevelop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Monodevelop beta 1 works unproperly with vte in Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/338262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Well, this bug report shouldnt become a support forum but... If you disable the backports, the installed package will still be a higher version, so updating shouldnt change it. I guess you have to disable the backports, uninstall the package, update your package list, and then reinstall the package, wich should show the version in the main repository... [Bug 280390] Re: transmission doesn't minimize to the taskbar
It seems very strange to mee, since no one ever answered this and it seems pretty annoying. Transmission is the kind of programs you just want to be on the tray without filling up your window selector, yet, for some reason, this feature was removed and hasn't been fixed for a long time now...I just wonder if they really removed the feature on purpose, or they did something that killed it... -- transmission doesn't minimize to the taskbar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280390 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 273576] [NEW] TTM failed to initialize
Public bug reported: First of all, I have ubuntu intrepid completely updated and dist- upgraded this morning. So, I don't think this bug is a duplicate of bug 245888 whish looks similar and is fixed. I have problems when trying to run a game (spore) through wine. I get the messege Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager. Falling back to classic.. Also, when running glxinfo, I have: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ glxinfo | grep direct Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager. [Bug 270325] [NEW] gnome doesn't complete startup after updating intrepid alpha 5
Public bug reported: I Installed intrepid alpha 5 on three different computers, and only found this problem in one of them. After making an update, gnome could no longer complete startup. It loads the background image, and that's it. I can move the pointer and exit the session with alt+ctrl+backspace. I already tried eliminating hidden files (.gconf .gconfd .gnome2 .gnome2_private) I'm currently using KDE on this computer, but I really dislike it and want to get gnome back up. I would appreciate some help on diagnosting and solving this. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome doesn't complete startup after updating intrepid alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
