I am using Asus N73SV and it is now working.
I changed my modem and now the wlan works without any hicups. I am
pretty sure that I did not make any changes into the computer settings
(other than selecting the new access point).
Old modem that had the problems: ZyXel P-660HW-D1 (ADSL)
New modem
Yes this is Ubuntu 13.04. For more details I've attached the output from
ubuntu-bug lsb-core.

Thanks everybody, this latest update has fixed any issues we were
experiencing with the lsb install_initd and remove_initd scripts.

run install_initd with lsb version 4.0-0ubuntu27.2
