The last time this occured for me was September 24 2007. I regularily
upgrage the gutsy distribution.
Today (October 5 2007) I noticed that rhythmbox is no longer seg
faulting while I am at work.

I can confirm as an employee of a company with 1000s of Thinkpad users
who use various distros, but lots of Ubuntu, this is going to really
suck. I just decided to try Gutsy and this is the one thing that is a
real downer to hear that no one really cares if ATI-based notebook users
just can't
this is most likely bug 121653.. a problem with fglrx (ATI binary
driver) and the new SLUB allocator. Summary of #121653 (my paraphrase):
ATI needs to fix the fglrx driver since it's closed source, and Ubuntu
kernel devs aren't willing to return to SLAB allocator which doesn't
cause the fglrx
I had added three directories to the tracker/watch/index and forced the
trackerd -R to reindex it since it didn't seem to be noticing anything /
indexing any of those new directories.

When glade-3 is used with custom widgets, it tries to save the name of
the lib containing the widgets in the .glade file, via requires
lib=..., e.g.
require lib=GtkMud/

This showed up for me after the updater hung up and required a 120 reset to get
out of it.
Everything else appears to work, just the adept updater complains that some app
is using the database. :(

compaq wl-100 is (if I read it correctly) removed from the orinoco_cs
support list.
This would be a bad thing as the compaq wl-100 only works with the
orinoco_cs driver. the hostap* set does not work (at present).

I think the problem is that hostap is supposed to work for this and
other cards, but it does not seem to for many of us blessed with this or
