Public bug reported:
Running Dapper on a Dell latitude C800 laptop with an ATI Rage Mobility
M4, if DRI is enabled I can suspend to ram and resume, but X is
painfully slow after resume. It may take a minute or so to repaint the
screen (The Xorg process is eating 99%+ CPU). I can switch to console
Isn't this issue the same problem as #22667?
Andrew Jorgensen ( see reply above) and I have a similar very slow
response on intel laptops, but only after resuming. See #56273. Sorry if
that's irrelevant.

It looks like this bug is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/226279, even though the
title of this other bug only mentions suspend to ram, people there report that
both resume from hibernate and resume from suspend to ram are broken.

I can also confirm this issue with the latest kernel upgrade to 2.6.24-17 : no
resume after hibernate, the systems hangs with exactly the same symptoms and
messages as Péter describes above. To recover, I need to force shutdown with
the power button. Same problem when resuming from suspend
On my machine Kernel 2.6.24-19 allows again resuming both from suspend
to ram and from hibernate : it solves the bug for me.

I experience similar problem with windows partitions mounted using gvfs-

I have just installed a new machine with 9.10 and even though I had
selected the correct time zone (europe-paris) the clock was two hours in

Using date and time from the administration menu (time-admin

is in french),
By the way the fact that a discrepancy such as the one I reported above
can happen upon install could justify a bug report too, but I have no
idea where I can report it.

I've had this problem with my logitech webcam since several ubuntu

Me too... but it's a recent regression
I normally always hibernate my system. This was working well before and
after I upgraded from Karmic to lucid RC (except for a cursor glitch

So, as requested, we now have another bug with the exact same symptoms

Since the reports of Hélio Nunes, JJA, beefstu and Benjamin Halbrock came
