I had the same problem and then realized that my schroot config had the
following line
script-config=desktop/config
While updating fstab in the default case might work in some cases , I
had to update fstab in /etc/schroot/desktop/fstab and then it all

The mcr instruction cannot be used in Thumb1 which is what -mthumb
-mcpu=arm926ej-s forces you to do.
-marm will allow you to do so since it forces the instructions to be in
ARM state.

I think it's definitely not a compiler error but more of a package
configuration issue. Either ubuntu had a local patch to change this to
vfpv3-d16 or chromium did and someone dropped this patch ?

built with --enable-targets=all or any binutils that has a 64 bit target
in it's target list. Otherwise this will not manifest itself. That is
not an immediate problem for natty but it would be good to have the
patch in the
common.cpp: In static member function 'static void CTimer::rdtsc(uint64_t)':
common.cpp:107:56: error: impossible constraint in 'asm' caught my attention.
README.txt says

Can you attach the .i file you get after running --save-temps on

I realize that "rebuild" isn't sufficient here. The thing I hear is that
there was a mistaken assumption about VA size in Thunderbird and there
were fixes in upstream firefox / js engine for it and this part was not
rebuilt when Thunderbird was rebuilt for this release.

Ok on doing further research I'm reliably informed that this patch

might be a fix to the problem.
It appears that this isn't included in the source base on a quick
inspection. I'm traveling in the next week so I won't be able to test
this
Regardless of whether the fix maybe a rebuild or not , the thunderbird
package is completely borked on 17.04 on arm64.
