lucid-updates and lucid-proposed ship the same package and from the
changelog I cannot see what change would be related to this big.
I've just confirmed by testing that the bug still applies to the most
uptodate packages that are available for lucid.

After having tried out the acx driver with dapper and my experience with
wpa_supplicant, I think this bug has little to do with network-manager
itself, but with the acx100 driver. it doesn't properly implement
wireless extensions, so that wpa_supplicant cannot properly drive the
card.

I assume the problem here is that flac is handled by the ffmpeg plugin,
which is in the extracodecs package. in fact, ffmpeg implements most

When accessing a MMS MRL, xine tries first to connect to server on TCP
port 1750. If that fails, it falls back to HTTP, but without using the
proxy given in the configuration file. This makes it impossible to
access these MRLs if TCP port 80 has been blocked for outgoing

please recheck on your side. I just verified on an i386 sony vaio laptop
on a recent edgy that there is both video and audio in kaffeine.

submitter confirms that this was a local installation problem. Viewing
DVB-t streams requires the ffmpeg plugin, which cannot be included into
main for political/legal problems. Sorry about that, but thats another
issue. Feel free to open a separate bug about this.
