Hi! I was able to resolve the issue by lokking at one of my old bugs (bug #75814). I have added blacklist ata_piix to /etc/modprobe.d/localhost because with kernel 2.6.20 it delayed booting. After removing that line and updating the initrd my system is able to boot gutsy with kernel 2.6.22. --
